Who is behind Zen Devils ? The brand is still managed only by myself to this day. My name is Viriyah Edgar Karet, I was born in 1985 in Paris but I used to travel a lot around the world before the pandemic laws, especially in Asia. I studied graphic arts but I did about a decade in music with my band and label. Then I was in the contemporary art scene as a painter for another decade and had several galleries in France and abroad. And then came my biggest and most passionate project in 2019 : Zen Devils ! But the brand will probably not remain a one-man operation for long as the brand is keeps expanding each day !!

Isn't Instagram getting frustrating since february ?
My posts have now 1/3 of the likes and interactions compared to 2020/2021. My interactions are back to what they were in 2019 when I launched the brand, with less interesting pics and a few hundred followers. Hashtags don't really seem to work like they used to and it feels like people are leaving the app.
Whatever happened with the new algorithm, it's now very difficult to reach to new people.
Have you felt this ? Is Instagram dying like MySpace did ?

People often view having a brand as a way to "become rich" and I've been asked what will I do or buy when I become a millionaire. Well, the exact same thing that I do now, invest 100% of it in the brand, making new products, have a bigger storage space, hire people etc. In fact, money is not my motivation. My motivation is passion, enjoying the process, drawing, creating, gathering people with the same energy etc. I only view money as a way to build projects, I don't spend it, I invest it.
