How does the financial side of Zen Devils works ?
I created and still manage the brand alone.
All the money that was injected into the brand come from my own savings.
Until now, I don't earn any money, I invest way more than I earn. And all the money from the sales are directly re-invested into the brand, for upcoming products or to pay the side expenses like the websites hostings.
I make a lot of sacrifices for the brand, I rarely go out or to the restaurant. The spendings I make have to be a useful investment, otherwise it's not worth it.
Don't get it wrong, I'm not complaining at all, I love what I do. But I get way too many messages from people asking for free stuff :)

Starting from nothing gives a great experience. Building a universe, learning and working on ideas, trying and changing things for the best really makes the path and history of the brand. I'm still sure of one thing, being true to my values and have the trust of a community is way better than simple financial profits. Today is my BIRTHDAY !!
I was born on september 02, 1985, in Paris. I am half French, a quarter Swiss and a quarter Cambodian. I used to travel a LOT before this couple of years, especially in Asia in which I've been in most countries. As it's complicated to travel abroad nowadays, I just enjoy road trips in France with my 1988 Saab 900 Turbo !
I'm not a big party person so today is just a typical working day.
Anyway, here is a photo of myself without a mask on. I look grumpy but I can be a jolly person.

 
It's september 1st 2021, it has now been two years since the launch of Zen Devils ! I didn't know anything about the process of making clothes or building a business. I never even had instagram or a smartphone ! I just had ideas and knew how to draw. I invested most of my personal savings into the making of the first three Zen Devils items. I build a website and opened social accounts. I was taking the pics with the self-timer option, being the model and the photographer at the same time. When you start something new, people around you try to discourage you, this was a very lonely time. And the lockdowns hit just a few month later too ! Of course, I didn't get a single sale for the first six month. Two years later, the passion and creativity is stronger then ever, I love the process of this journey and I'm so grateful to connect with all of you. There's a lot of work ahead to make everything grow and I'm very excited about it !!
